Protect Your Child from Accidental Poisoning – Today we will continue our discussion about protecting our children at home. Children are naturally curious and automatically put things they find into their mouths. That is why we need to protect our child from accidental poisoning.
Children may easily mistake pills or insecticide tablets for candy or a poisonous liquid for juice. That is why never referring to medications as candy, children may think other medications are candy and try to sneak some when an adult is not looking.
The next thing you should do is ask your pharmacist to put child-resistant caps on all of your prescriptions. Never leave your purse where a small child can easily get into if you carry any medications in your purse. We will discuss more about this in our next post.
